2020 Molalla Buckeroo Canceled.

Another area rodeo has canceled due to the pandemic. The Molalla Buckeroo will not be held this year.  The Buckeroo organization has released the following statement:

2020 MBR RODEO – CANCELLED

Well, the time has come. The Molalla Buckeroo Association held tight on to the hope that there would be a way to make it happen, that people would heal, that the virus could be contained and event restrictions could be lifted in time. The Covid-19 pandemic is not something any of us could have ever imagined we’d experience in our lifetimes, but it is here and it has affected everything. It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancelation of the 2020 Molalla Buckeroo Rodeo, Kickoff Party & Annual Trailride.

Sun, Pancakes and Strawberries For Breakfast, and Horses – It Must Be the St. Paul Rodeo Trail Ride.

Ask anyone who lives in St. Paul and they’ll tell you that Sundays are pretty quiet in the small rural community.  Today was different.  At 6am the scents of fresh coffee, sausage, and pancakes wafted down Main Street from the Community Hall as people gathered to enjoy a hot breakfast and fresh strawberries as part of the annual St. Paul Rodeo Trail Ride.

At 10am, 350 riders and their horses, accompanied by the St. Paul Rodeo 2019 Royal Court, mounted up and sauntered from the Rodeo grounds down Main Street and out into the beautiful St. Paul countryside for a 3 hour ride through grass and hop fields, and along the Willamette River before heading back to the Tack Room Saloon for a free lunch, courtesy of the St. Paul Rodeo Association.

The Trail Ride kicks off rodeo season in St. Paul, with other events through June, culminating in the annual rodeo held the first week of July.
